Difference in 1.5L and 1.6 SOHC exhaust

What's the difference between the STD exhaust and the Si exhaust. In other words if I bought echaust for an SI would it fit my std hatch?

DX/Si exhausts are the same so I would venture a guess and say that if you bought the Si one that it would fit on your std hatch.

I DO believe you will need to buy the Si downpipe as well(maybe even the Si exhaust manifold) since the STD downpipes have a curve at the cat while the Si downpipes go straight in the Si's. Someone correct me if im wrong..

Yeah I'd heard that the downpipe was different, but if it's a catback system would that still screw me over? I haven't really picked one out yet but I was just noticing that some of the ones I liked said for Si only.

mine is the std also and i bought the pacesetter cat back and it fits fine. we didnt have to modify n e thing at all

thanks man that's the one I was thinkin about. I know it's not the best quality but I'm not planning on keeping the muffler anyway. What's it sound like? Do you like the muffler? Does it come with dual tips or a single?

it sounds ok. not the greatest sounding one though. it comes with a single 4 inch tip. i am going to change the muffler too this spring.

if you're looking for an aftermarket exh., then yeah they'll all fit. because they're CAT BACK. all hatchbacks had the cat in the same place, just different downpipes.

Yeah thanks man that's what I was thinkin. I'm pretty sure I'm gettin a new cat but I dont' know about the down pipes, they're awful expensive.
